Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the delegate rate and is booked for separately. The dedicated online accommodation website has now closed but bookings can still be made by contacting our accommodation partner direct at acccommodation@seeglasgow.com or visiting the late accommodation booking website www.seeglasgow.com/hotels

This is the official accommodation booking system of the City of Glasgow delivered by Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, the official destination marketing agency for Glasgow.

Attenders

There will be whole range of arts professionals at the conference with different levels of experience – those who are just starting out and those with many years' experience under their belts. The conference attracts a mix of delegates from a variety of arts and cultural organisations – not just arts marketers. Those working in audience development, education, press and PR plus front of house and chief executives attend too.

Advice

Neil says drink plenty of water throughout the day. He is amazed at how easy it is to get dehydrated at this sort of event.

Anne
says don't be afraid to ask if there is something that you are not sure about – AMA members are a friendly bunch and the staff are quite nice too – there should always be someone on the registration desk to help with your queries.

Isky
says that name badges are the accessory for this summer – make sure you wear yours to aid networking.

Annabel
says don't forget to check out the various networking opportunities at conference - check out your conference guide for more details of what's on offer!

Helen
says don't get talked into staying out really late on the Wednesday night – (see Neil's tip above about drinking plenty of water).

Julie
advises you check out the freebies available from the AMA and our exhibitors – she can still be spotted using her AMA conference bag from last year.

Emma says: Please remember which seminars you book for – we'll be on hand at the registration desk to help if you do forget, but you risk losing precious tea-drinking and networking time. Have a go at visiting all the exhibition stands to get up to speed with what's on the marketing market, and to pick up any freebies...
